A flavorful, mild Mexican-inspired dip that doubles as a slow cooker chicken taco recipe — turn one packet into a full family meal. Mild enough for kids, flavorful enough for everyone. Perfect for Cinco de Mayo, Taco Tuesday, weeknight crockpot dinners, tailgates, and game day spreads.
How to make it:
For a dip: Add 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise to the bag contents. Mix and chill 3 hours before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, add to taco salad, or use to create a layer dip.
For Chicken Tacos or Fajitas:
Combine bag contents with 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese and mix well. Place 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of a crock pot. Spoon the cream cheese mixture on top of the chicken. DO NOT ADD any water or liquid — the chicken will make its own juice.
Cook on low 6-8 hours, or in the oven at 325°F for 2-3 hours, until meat is cooked thoroughly. Remove and shred the meat. Makes excellent chicken tacos or fajitas.
