Crockpot Chicken Tacos with Southwest Ranch Dip Mix

Our Southwest Ranch Dip Mix is one of our top sellers all year, and the chicken taco recipe on the back is a big reason why. Ten minutes of prep, then dinner cooks itself while you work or play.

What you need

  • 1 bag SnS Dips Southwest Ranch Dip Mix
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Tortillas, shredded cheese, salsa and your favorite toppings

How to make it

  1. Combine the bag contents with the cream cheese and 1/4 cup sour cream (optional), and mix well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a crockpot.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture on to the chicken. Do not add any water or liquid. The chicken will make its own juice.
  4. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or bake at 325°F for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken reaches 165°F inside. Check the thickest piece with a meat thermometer.
  5. Shred the chicken right in the crockpot with two forks, and stir it into the juices.
  6. Serve in warm tortillas with shredded cheese, salsa and your favorite toppings.

Camping tip: Prep the crockpot in the morning, then come back to dinner ready to go.

Want it milder? Use our Fiesta Dip Mix the same way. It is mild enough for kids and flavorful enough for everyone.

Make it a dip, too: Mix 1 package of Southwest Ranch Dip Mix with 3/4 cup sour cream (or plain yogurt) and 3/4 cup mayonnaise. Cover and chill 4 hours, then serve with tortilla chips, pretzels, fresh-cut veggies or crackers.
